This year’s Social Media Week will kick off between February 27 to March 3, 2017 at the Landmark event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. It marks their 5th anniversary and it will involve businesses, bloggers, musicians, activists, citizens from Nigeria and around the world who will meet up to network, share ideas and explore the unique, social, economic and cultural impact of social media in Africa

The 2017 SMW Lagos theme is “The [new] Language of Technology: The Future of Communication in Africa.” It’s going to explore how technology is creating a “new language” and what that means for the future of communication in Africa.
