The loss of the wonderful gospel singer has sparked a lot of discussion and opinions from many people, as well as their reactions to her demise.
The claims of domestic violence levelled against Peter Nwachukwu, the husband of slain gospel singer Osinachi, have been denied.
After apparently being in a coma for five days after being assaulted by her husband, the popular singer died on Friday.
Colleagues and children of Osinachi, who worked at the Dunamis International Headquarters in Abuja as a lead singer, confirmed the charges, accusing Peter Nwachukwu of domestic violence and cruelty.
Nwachukwu was detained right away by the police after the deceased singer’s younger brother reported the incident, which prompted an inquiry.
He claimed he took her to Federal Medical Center (FMC), Gwagwalada General Hospital, and finally National Hospital, where she died.
He didn’t specify what her disease was.
Mr Nwachukwu was handcuffed and escorted to his house, where he was asked to show proof of the hospitals to which he said he had taken his deceased wife for treatment.
The late singer’s remains were also subjected to an autopsy to determine the cause of her death.
Mr Nwachukwu has reportedly been moved to Force Headquarters for further interrogation.
It’s sad how one can go from being a husband to becoming the abuser, we all hope for and watch how justice will be served.
