As I Need Nigeria, Nigeria Needs My Competence- Says Tinubu

Former Lagos State Governor and 2023 Presidential Aspirant, Bola Ahmed Tinubu remarked yesterday at a one day parley for past, present and deputy speakers of the APC led states. The event themed “The Legislature, Changing times, and Nigeria’s Democratic Journey” was held in Lagos State.

He said that he has the capacity to transform the nation stating that what the country needs to fast track development is a courageous person and an action taker and that he is both.

“It is a very challenging time for us in the country and we need to decide the next leadership right. We need to intellectually assess the current situation, and bring in a person with a clear vision and ability to deliver. Accelerated development of our country is about thinking, doing and being courageous.I am a thinker and a doer.

“ I was raised with courage and that is what is driving me to push on my vision to create a Nigeria that will work for all. We can build this nation and reverse the carnage. What we need is leadership, a visioner to drive the change we desire. That is why I have presented myself to canvass for your support .”

The APC chieftain said he was the person who could bring the much needed change and development in the country and that the country needs him as much as he needs her.

“As I need Nigeria, the country needs my competence. I have been a good example with a shrewd, daring and can-do attitude. And I have never lost a single election.”

Tinubu stated that he was ready to take up the national leadership position lawfully and not cut corners to gain power.
