Francis Agoda known as I Go Dye marks 27 years of being on stage as a comedian.
The event, which took place in Benin City, Edo State, was described as “a night of spectacular entrances, superb music performances, and top draw hilarious comedy in a convivial and friendly atmosphere.”
Despite heavy rain that threatened to ruin the event, people from all walks of life attended and filled Crown Heights, the show’s venue.
I Go Dye, the night’s main attraction, entered the venue like an English Knight in Shining Armor, with 50 royal reel brass men heralding his grand entrance with trumpets and drums, and a long line of female ushers lining his path with flowers. The show started with him, and it progressed from there.
Two Nigerian music powerhouses, 2Baba and Tiwa Savage performed as the night’s headline music acts.
The duo took turns on stage to produce riveting performances, transporting the audience on a musical trip that was both moving and thrilling.
As the thrilled audience sang along to each song from the duo’s repertoire, the hall quickly became a rowdy scene.
I Go Dye, who has 27 years of theatrical experience, was on top of his game and lit up the night with rib-cracking jokes that had everyone laughing.
Also, Okey Bakassi, Maleke, and others who took to the stage cranked up the volume to a frantic crescendo.
I Go Save, who served as host for the evening, was a consummate conductor, weaving the night’s comedy and music into a symphony of harmony that emphasized the show’s success.
Congratulations to him, and may he be blessed with even more grace.
