Bayern Munich: Corentin Tolisso Is Likely To Be Out For The Rest Of The Season

Date:

For the past five seasons, Bayern Munich has always dealt with injuries at the end of the season. Robert Lewandowski had missed both legs against Paris Saint-Germain in the quarter-final of the Champions League last year.

The prolific goalscorer has been completely fit this year, but they are set to lose Corentin Tolisso to the hands of injury for the rest of the season.

According to Kicker, Tolisso’s season is likely to be on the sidelines after he suffered a hamstring injury against Freiburg. He would need three to four weeks to complete his recovery, making it practically impossible to play a match this season.

The Bayern midfielder is out of contract and would be leaving the club on a free transfer. Bayern has tried to renew the contract with the midfielder, but they haven’t reached an agreement, which makes him all set to leave.

Tolisso’s quality is never in doubt; he is a typical box-to-box player that scores goals in big matches. The only concern is his availability.

2018/2019 was the season that marked the injury problems for Tolisso as he suffered a cruciate ligament injury. His injuries have been consistent since his second season in Bayern Munich. The Bavarians are not willing to hand him a new long-term deal.
