Munster has confirmed that Graham Rowntree will take over as head coach this summer. Rowntree has been promoted from forward coach to head coach and has signed a two-year contract, which he will begin on July 1.
The former England international said it was an “easy decision” to debut as a head coach in his career. Rontree replaces the outgoing Johann Van Graan, bound for Premiership strugglers Bath.
Rowntree has been working with Munster since 2019, and he is relishing the extra responsibility.
“I have made my thoughts about this club widely known throughout my time so far, and for my family and me, it has been an easy decision, a non-decision if truth be told,” Rowntree said.
