Nothing compares to having a sense of belonging in your own country, and nothing matches up to be recognized and appreciated by your own people.
Bukola Elemide aka Asa, a soulful singer, has stated that she does not want to seem like a stranger in her fatherland.
“I grab every opportunity to come home and perform. I do not want to be a stranger at home. Coming home this time around, I am super excited,” she said.
The 39-year-old recording artist revealed this while addressing ahead of her ‘Asa Live in Lagos’ homecoming show.
The live performance will take place in the Eko Convention Center on Victoria Island, Lagos, on Sunday, May 8, 2022, in collaboration with Basketmouth.
She further said, “People need to see what Asa has been doing elsewhere around the world. It is a good thing to be back home performing.
“It is going to be a different experience.
“An Asa concert is one you will never forget because it is usually electric and full of life. There will be a lot of collaboration with the audience.”
Asa has released her sixth studio album, ‘V,’ which features Wizkid, The Cavemen, and Amaarae.
I’m already looking forward to her next album with these artists since I know it’ll be a blast.
