Osinachi Nwachukwu’s mother has revealed some shocking comments about her daughter’s marriage.
According to Osinachi’s mother, Peter Nwachukwu, the deceased’s husband, threatened that his late wife would only leave the marriage in death when she spoke with BBC Igbo.
She said that Osinachi had been absent from her marriage for almost a year and had only returned after her husband arrived with pastors to beg.
She also mentioned that she hadn’t seen her grandkids in eight years and that she was never allowed to come for Omugwo (a traditional Igbo ceremony of a woman’s mother providing postpartum care) when they were born.
Osinachi’s spouse, she claims, refused to let her family into their home until several pastors interfered.
The deceased mother went on to say that she told Osinachi multiple times to quit the marriage, but she refused, claiming that the Bible forbids divorce.
She refuted Peter’s assertions concerning the singer’s health, claiming that she and her husband had gone for a medical exam before her daughter died and were told by experts that nothing was wrong with her.
Currently, the deceased’s husband has been detained by the Federal Capital Territory Police Command.
