This Auburn Basketball Sibling Could Be A Transfer Portal Target

Date:

Auburn basketball fans are not satisfied with the 2021-22 season results, given a displeasing end in both conference tournament playoffs and during the Big Dance.

Crashing out after a game in the SEC Tournament was only going to be forgiven if there was to be a long run that followed in the March Madness bracket.

Unfortunately, a Round of 32 defeat to Miami now leaves the program short of two of its top recruits and a good moment following the most triumphant regular season in history, both on the pitch and in the Twitter replies of opposing teams.

The deep-fried meme and deafening ‘Jungle’ screaming across the south all season, leading to a 1-2 post-season record, was unimpressive. But. Luckily, Bruce Pearl does not look demotivated. Instead, he is focused on three recently de-committed LSU recruits: five-star big man Yohan Traore, five-star power forward Julian Phillips, and five-star guard Marvel Allen.

When it comes to Auburn hoops, it’s all about keeping it in the family. Let’s not forget that Bruce Pearl has his son Steven on his coaching staff, and assistant coach Wes Flanigan has his son Allen on the team.

If Devan Cambridge doesn’t look to take to the transfer portal himself after ceding minutes to Flanigan after returning from an Achilles injury, maybe his brother Desmond from Nevada could add scoring to a backcourt that struggled to make shots in post-season play.
