Tuchel was angry that Marciniak failed to check whether a goal scored by Marcos Alonso in the 62nd minute should have stood.
VAR ruled out the Spaniard’s goal for handball, and Tuchel told reporters, per The Mirror, after the match: “I’m very disappointed for the referee that he did not check … but that’s what you get when you play Real Madrid in the Champions League. We had a huge deficit to overcome.”
The referee also showed Tuchel a yellow card in stoppage time, which infuriated him.
